Route 2 West (From the rotary)

Note: The rotary will be your last chance to use your cell phone – pull off at Friendly's or the gas station if you need to make a call; after the rotary you're out of cell phone range!

• Follow Route 2 West (Mohawk Trail) for 18 miles into the center of Charlemont (the speed limit goes all the way down to 30 MPH in the center of town. Watch your speed there or you’ll get a ticket!)
• Watch for “Charlemont Mini-Service” Gas Station on your left
• 300 yards past the Gas Station, turn left onto the bridge
• Turn left again after bridge and railroad tracks
• Make your first right onto EAST HAWLEY ROAD (second right would be the entrance of Berkshire East ski resort)
• We are a clocked two point one miles up a steep, winding paved road
• Please remember that although our mailing address is Charlemont, we are actually located in the town of Hawley, so do not be surprised when you see the town line sign and the house numbers start over!
• We are on your left, a contemporary saltbox style log home with an attached 3-car garage
• Our office door is to the far right of the garage doors – come on up when you arrive!

From the West:

• From Route 2 & I-87 area in New York, take Route 2 East
• You will pass through many towns: Williamstown, Adams, North Adams, Florida, and then Charlemont. (You will actually only be in the town of Florida for a very short period of time)
• As you enter the center of the town of Charlemont, you will notice that the speed limit goes down to 30MPH. Make sure to stick to the speed limit – you’ll get a ticket!
• About 100 yards after the 30MPH speed limit sign, you will be turning right off of Route 2 onto the only bridge in town
  (If you pass this bridge by accident, you will see a light-colored package store with white trim on the left, called Cold River Package Store. You can certainly turn around there if necessary.)

From Southwestern Massachusetts:

• Route 8 North to Route 9 East through Dalton
• Left onto 8A to “T” intersection
• Right onto Route 116 into center of Plainfield (Do NOT turn left onto 8A north again)
• You will pass a white church on your left, a white building on your right (Plainfield Fire Department), Town Hall (white) on left
• At four corners (2 stop signs) you’ll see a red brick building on far left corner.
• Make a left onto North Central Street (you’re about seven miles from our office) and stay on black-topped road.
• Turn onto North Union - CAUTION!!! - VERY SHARP RIGHT
• Turn onto North Street – ANOTHER VERY SHARP RIGHT
• We are 1/4 mile past “Devil’s Elbow”, a 90º left followed by a 90º right, then 1/4 mile on right.
